Terms of service
Last updated: 9 July 2026
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Craig McQueen, trading as Guddle (“Guddle”, “we”, “us”), a sole trader based in England, which operates the Guddle app and website at guddle.net and app.guddle.net (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. The Service is for business and professional use. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Your account
You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may sign in with email and password, a one-time email link, or Google or Apple, whose own terms also apply.
3. Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes. Features may change, and some may be offered as beta or preview.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law; upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content; attempt unauthorised access; probe or test our security without written permission; disrupt the Service; reverse engineer it except where the law allows; resell it without permission; or use it to build a competing product or to scrape data at scale.
5. Your content
You own the projects, tasks, registers, documents and contacts you add (“Your Content”). You grant us a licence to host and process it only to provide and secure the Service. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights and lawful basis to provide it — including any personal data about other people you record. Keep your own backups of anything important.
6. Third-party services and bring-your-own-AI
You can connect third-party services, including an AI assistant of your choice. If you do, it accesses your data through your account’s permissions and acts under your own agreement with that provider. The Service is fully usable without connecting any AI.
7. Subscriptions and fees
The Service has a free tier and paid plans; current features and prices are shown in the Service. Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Paid subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal. Where billing runs through a third party (such as an app store), that provider’s terms apply. We may change prices on reasonable notice, effective at your next renewal. Except where the law requires, fees are non-refundable.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and the Guddle name and marks, belongs to us or our licensors. Feedback you give us may be used without restriction or obligation.
9. Third-party trademarks
“PRINCE2®” is a registered trade mark of the PeopleCert group. Guddle is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by PeopleCert, AXELOS or any standards body. Such terms are used only to describe compatibility and for identification.
10. Availability and beta features
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and may perform maintenance or change features. Beta features are provided “as is” and may change or be withdrawn.
11. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use poses a risk. On termination your licence ends; we handle personal data under the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. It is a tool to help you manage projects and does not provide professional, legal, financial or assurance advice; you remain responsible for your decisions. Nothing here excludes rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data, or indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in that period or £100.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time — for example as the Service grows or after a professional legal review. We will give reasonable notice of material changes, and for significant changes we may ask you to review and accept the updated Terms before you continue to use the Service. Otherwise, continued use after changes take effect means you accept them. The version you accepted is recorded against your account.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (subject to your rights as a consumer).
